Liverpool experienced the first loss of the season after Eddie Nketia collided deeply into stop time to secure a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Ismaila Saar gave the palace a lead from the corner in the 9th minute as the home side paid off with a strong start to the game.
Leaving just three minutes of normal time, Federico Chiesa’s volley appeared to have rescued Arne Slot’s side. However, Nketiah’s goal after nine minutes of downtime secured all three points.
