Graham Potter was fired by West Ham just nine months later.
Former Chelsea boss Potter has been released from his duties for just two days from his match against West Ham’s Everton.
The Hammers loyalists turned on Potter during their defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, and the club owners have acted with West Ham for their fourth manager in the last 18 months.
“West Ham United can confirm that Coach Graham Potter has left the club.
“The results and performances do not match expectations between the second half of last season and the beginning of the 2025/26 season. The board believes changes are needed to improve the team’s position in the Premier League as quickly as possible.
“The club can see that assistant coaches Bruno Salt, first-team coaches of Billy Reed and Narciss Perach, lead goalkeeper Casper Anchor Glenn and goalkeeper coach Lina Skandlin were also quick to come into effect.
“The board is grateful to Graham and his coaching staff for spending time with Hammer and wishing all their success in the future.
“The process of appointing an exchange is underway. The club will not comment any more at this time.”
