Chelsea Player Rating vs Brighton and 1 3/10, 1 4/10 Loss | Soccer | Sports

The late firing of Chelsea’s Trevo Charova proved a costly mistake as Bruce wasted the one-goal advantage of suffering a 3-1 home defeat against Brighton. Maxim de Kuiper’s last minute header sealed the visitor’s victory, with Chelsea earnestly paying for their second consecutive Premier League match against the red card. Charova was given a march order in the second half after referee Simon Hooper consulted the pitchside monitor following a foul by Diego Gomez.

Enzo Fernandez’s 23-minute header initially led Chelsea, but alternative Danny Welbeck leveled the score with his own short range header. Welbeck delved into Brighton’s third goal into stop time and humiliated his injuries by piling up Chelsea’s misery.

Express sports rates and slate Chelsea players…

Chelsea Player Rating vs Brighton

Robert Sanchez-5

After his halt, he returned to the team. It starts with the ball under his feet, unstable. But he did well when the cross came in and when he claimed the ball on every occasion.

Reese James-7

I flipped one in the first 10 minutes. Fernandez’s goal was through heavy deflection, but he supported.

Trevoh Chalobah -3

It was sent early in the second half. As Gomez ran towards the goal, he made the foul clear from the Chelsea defender.

Jorrel Hato -6

The first time I saw the Dutch start out as a centre-back. I left a few passes behind when I tried to feed the ball into the middle.

Marc Cucurella -7

Cucurella had a challenging job of trying to neutralize Yankuba Minteh. And while Minte was dangerous, Kukulera worked really well.

Moises Caiceco -7

Fernandez finished off an energetic start by heading the ball to the net in the 23rd minute with the back post. Caiceceo provided an amazing pass to find James. His usual energetic self in the midfield.

Andrei Santos-4

The first Premier League starts. It worked well in the first half, but a costly error at the second early stage caused Chaloba’s red card after Santos lost ownership.

Estevao Willian -6

I’m back to the team. He started brightly, outmaneuvered Yasin Ayali and had some brilliant skills on the 12-minute mark, but only blocked his shot.

Enzo Fernandez-8

He nearly defeated Bad Verbruggen with just three minutes of free kick. Chelsea scored a goal.

Pedro Neto -6

Once again the left side. It started intimidatingly and had a decent chance midway through the first half, but his shots grew.

Joao Pedro -5

It was his first time facing his previous club. Lewis Dunk and Jan Paul Van Hecke were extremely physical towards their former teammates.

Alternatives

Josh Acheampong (Santos 54)-5

It’s not a bit unlucky, but it came after Charoba’s firing. Lost Welbeck’s track for the finish line.

Malo Gusto (Estevao 64)-5

Bringed to play on the right field, providing James’ defensive cover. There was a great opportunity to fight back before Brighton’s equalizer, but he chose to choose a lot to the frustration of his manager.

Romeo Lava (Neto 79) -N/a

It’s good that he can go back on the pitch and meet up. There wasn’t much time to affect it.

Benoit Badiashile (Hato 79) -N/a

As mentioned above.
