Manchester United have spent much of their summer windows trying to negotiate an exit for their favorite players, but next summer it will be easier and the numbers to become free agent are easy
Manchester United are ready to force them to walk three expensive Eric 10 hug forward flops to kickstart the Reuben Amorim era.
United bosses replaced 10 hugs in 2024, filling up their bloated squads and filled with low-performing, expensive stars. It contributed to the disastrous first 12 months for Amorim, who has won just nine wins from 32 Premier League matches.
Amorim moved to many famous players during the summer window, with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony leaving forever. There were also loan moves for Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Andre Onana and Jadon Sancho.
And the Sun reports that more players will show the exit door in 2026 and help free funds for the big midfield signature. United have chosen to spend a lot of money on this reinforcement attack. Mateus Cunha, Brian Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesco have arrived at a total price of over £200 million.
That means that the other areas have not improved, especially at the heart of their midfield. There was a major call for the addition of a new central midfield player to help implement Amorim’s strict 3-4-2-1 system.

United were deeply connected to Brighton midfielder Carlos Barreva, but despite his exploratory talk, the deal was deemed too expensive. The Seagulls value Cameroon International at £115 million and will become the marquee to sign the windows for next summer.
Sun reports that United bosses are ready to sanction another swath at another famous exit to help cut wage bills before another splurge in the transfer market. Casemiro led its departure list on the 33-year-old set and became a free agent at the end of the current season.
The Brazilian was a regular in both 10 hugs and Amorims, but after a great first season, he struggled to recreate the shape. He remains a regular under Amorim, but showed his limits with a damaging red card in his recent victory over Chelsea.
United signed Casemiro from Real Madrid for £700 million in 2022, continuing to be one of the club’s highest earners. The Red Devils also retain the option to extend their current contract for the year, but it appears he is now more likely to leave for free.
Sancho was an even more expensive misfire by the previous administration, signing it for £73 million in the same summer as Casemiro. He failed to play United league matches for over two years, spending much of that time lending.
He is currently looking to rebuild his career with Aston Villa, but will become a free agent next July.
And Tyrell Malacia is almost certain to proceed that she was the sole member of Amorim’s “bomb squad” in order not to secure a summer exit.
The left back was signed for £13 million, making it the first signing for Ten Hag, but endured a passionate time with injuries. He appeared to leave between the latest windows, but saw a move to the turkey collapse.
Like Casemiro and Sancho, he will be able to leave for free next year. However, one player increasingly sees the possibility of staying with United is former captain Harry Maguire.
England International became the world’s most expensive defender when it arrived from Leicester in 2019. And despite losing his favor under 10 hugs, he still has the support of his current head coach.
United caused a contract extension earlier this year, keeping him on terms this season and are hoping to bring him to a longer contract, although less.
