Manchester United got off to another bad start to the season, putting pressure on manager Reuben Amorim.
Dino Toppmoller, manager of Eintracht Frankfurt, hopes to take over at Manchester United in the future. Toppmoller, who worked only in Germany during his previous coaching career, has now openly stated his desire to test himself at United.
Reuben Amorim was an overwhelming appointment at United and could not shake off the pressure on his job. Since taking over from Erik Ten Hag last November, the Portuguese boss has won just 19 of his 48 matches, earning just 19 wins, finishing 15th in his debut season.
After losing to the Europa League final, Amorim was given a new talent of £200 million during the summer transfer period, but things have not yet improved. United sat 11th in the Premier League table following their second victory in the campaign, but recently suffered the embarrassment of a defeat by Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
Amorim has held support from Ir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos for the time being, but he is just another series of poor results that separate from that change in attitude. And Topppmoller threw his hat into the ring if the United hierarchy was ultimately looking for a replacement.

“It’s basically a dream to be in Frankfurt. It’s just a great club,” he told Frasenmaeher’s podcast. “As a teenager, I first saw my dad as a Bundesliga coach, which naturally creates an emotional bond with the club.
“Thinking about overseas, I often played computer games as a kid. Always with one team, Manchester United. It’s an extraordinary club so it’s definitely good one day.
Former RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich assistant managers have won 46% of the match since becoming Frankfurt’s boss in July 2023.
The 44-year-old is highly regarded in Germany, and his side caught his eye by shattering Galata Salei 5-1 in the first match of the Champions League group phase. They are currently sixth in the Bundesliga and have lost two of their two opening four games.
Amorim eases some of the pressure on him by beating Chelsea 2-1 in the league on Saturday, facing a key match before the international break in October. This weekend, United traveled to Brentford and played Sunderland at Old Trafford the following week.
