Reigning champion Premier League Champion Liverpool will host current FA Cup champions Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. The fourth round draw followed the end of all the third round matches, throwing a lot of tasty clashes when it was made on Wednesday evening.

Newcastle hosts Tottenham at St James Park, and Arsenal welcomes Brighton to Emirates Stadium in another All-Premier League encounter. And Cardiff then traveled to the Welsh Derby for the Welsh Derby after jumping over his rivals in the football pyramid earlier this year, and at the same time the capital team was kicked out into League One.

But of course, six-time League Cup champion Manchester United didn’t fall into a draw after being knocked out of the competition in the second round by League 2 side Grimsby after a penalty shootout. Grimsby is wearing a fourth-round draw hat and hosts Brentford in search of yet another huge kill. Meanwhile, Chelsea will face the wolves in Mollineau, and Pep Guardiola will take the Manchester City team to Swansea.

Carabao Cup Champions Newcastle overcame League 1 table topper Bradford at St James Park on Wednesday evening and booked their place in the fourth round.

Eddie Howe’s team defeated Liverpool 2-1 in the final at Wembley last season, with Alexander Isaac scoring his second goal for Magpies before completing his blockbuster work to Anfield this summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool rubbed into the fourth round after beating Championship side Southampton 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

The Reds were late to secure a victory as Summer signed 85 minutes after Summer came at halftime, and Summer won the winner.

However, the striker was sent for a second bookable attack after celebrating by taking off his shirt. The French eventually apologise for his actions and misses this weekend’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Chelsea and Arsenal were not even convincing in the third round as the Blues edged past League One Side Lincoln with a 2-1 victory courtesy of the Blues’ 2-1 victory before the Gunners beat Port Vale 2-0 a day.

The fourth round match will take place the week of October 27th, followed by the quarter finals just before Christmas. The final will be held at Wembley on Sunday, March 22nd.
