Liverpool manager Arne Slot didn’t pull the punch after seeing his striker score a red card and one match suspension to remove his shirt while he was already yellow
“You call it stupid. I call it stupid.”
No running away from it: it was totally stupid! It’s no wonder Liverpool boss Arne Slot is not satisfied with Hugo Echicchique’s red card after sending out with Southampton.
It was one of the funniest things you could ever see. The Liverpool striker, who already booked, took his shirt with him to celebrate the winner’s tap-in – and was officially sent.
I watch on TV and think, “I’m sure he’s booked before.” And I’m sure some of the people in the press box are thinking: when will this suspension start? And did he forget that he was booked?
Answering both questions, he is paused for a Premier League match – a tricky match with that against Crystal Palace – and no one actually came to his defense.

You can’t blame them either. Andy Robertson was a really great player, a very big guy, and he was vice captain, so he led the team in the evening.
He was great in the post-match interview with Skye’s Juliet Ferrington and there was no defense – just a case: well, he doesn’t do it again.
You must not do that. Slot was equally cruel with his presser. He basically said that if it’s an epic goal, then he can pretty much understand that.
But Federico Chiesa did something tough, and as Slott said rather eloquently, it wasn’t about Ekitique.
“I’m not playing at this level, but I scored a few goals. If I had scored goals like this, in this situation I walked towards Federico Chiesa and said, “This goal is about you. This isn’t about me.” ”
“So, yeah, wise, not clever. You call it stupid. I called it stupid, by the way.”
The slots are here. He was always trying to protect his players, and he made it official – to some extent. He called the first one unnecessary and pointed out how difficult it was – because he knows himself well – to control his emotions. However, there was no second defense. Well, well, it was stupid.
Let’s be clear here… I love watching players celebrate. I hate the “scrunchy” celebration. Who are you telling me to be quiet? I scream from the rooftop.
And I really like ekitike. By the way, he’s doing a difficult job right now. Big signature and lots of pressure. And Alexander Isaac is an even bigger signature. And Isaac blows breath into his neck.
Now, Isaac travels to the palace on Saturday, and Ekitique is in the stands.
So I love watching players show their emotions, celebrate and do crazy things. After all, we’re part of the entertainment business. But sometimes, like Anfield on a Tuesday night, you can’t protect them!
