Manchester United reached out to provide support for AMAD after being on the receiver of online abuse over the weekend. Amado deleted all of his Instagram posts after United fans criticized his decision to share photos of him with Alejandro Garnacho.

The United winger posted a photo of himself posing in a Garnacho Chelsea shirt with his former teammate. The two-man meeting came after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.

He didn’t reach the pitch after Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez’s early red card, but it was Garnacho’s first trip back to his former club following a £40 million transfer in the summer. Amad is friends with Argentina International and is also represented by the same agency, but this post didn’t work well with fans.

The 23-year-old was abused by some supporters and responded by removing all but one of his Instagram posts and X posts. Sun reports that United checked him out on Monday and provided support.

Despite his reaction to the backlash, Amado is understood to be OK. After playing 90 minutes with Chelsea, he hopes to put his place aside when United travels to face Brentford in the league on Saturday.

United are spending a week preparing for a trip to West London, which had already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup. Most of the Premier League is involved in the competition in the third round mid-week, but United were beaten by a penalty by Grimsbytown in the second round in August.

Amad has appeared in all but one fixture in all six matches so far this season. So far, he has contributed only one tough assist, sitting 11th in the Premier League after his second victory in the weekend campaign.

Garnacho left United under the clouds in the summer after dropping out with Amorim in the final few games of last season. The 21-year-old was told he had no future in the club and was part of the “bomb squad” and forced to train with fellow exiles Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.

Garnacho stayed on the bench at Old Trafford following Sanchez’s early red card, as he had appeared in two short alternatives for Chelsea and refused a goal-scoring opportunity against Brentford and Bayern Munich.
