Barcelona reportedly decided to wait until summer to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford next summer. The Winger loaned it to the Spanish giants from the Red Devils in July, winning a brace in the Champions League last week, with his new team defeating Newcastle 2-1 at St. James Park. He also got two assists for the Catalan team.
Rashford advanced United Academy, earning his first team debut as the 18-year-old in February 2016, earning him twice in a Europa League victory over Mid-Zilland. He donated to 138 goals and 78 assists in United’s 426 appearances, and signed a new five-year contract in the summer of 2023.
According to Sky Sports, Barcelona is pleased with Rashford’s progress and is extremely keen to settle in the club and the city.
They are also pleased with the way he loves himself to players, staff and fans. However, they are unlikely to discuss permanent movements until next summer.
Barcelona will need to cut the transfer fee of £26.2 million to sign Rashford forever, as his loan deal includes purchase options.

But the key issue is Rashford’s wages, with Barcelona covering his entire pay packet in Spain.
The 27-year-old, who is said to earn around £300,00 a week on his current United contract, is one of the highest earners in LA La Liga.
Therefore, if Barka wants to keep him at nou camp permanently from next year, he will need to determine where his salary will fit into his long-term financial plan.
He was recently punished late by the club.
Rashford said last week that he wanted to be “as many (seasons) (seasons) as he explained.
And discussing the early parts of his Barca career, he said: “It works. I’m clearly learning a lot. It’s a new way of football, but I enjoy it all and I think it makes me a better player.
“That’s what I’m here. I’m here not only here to win, but to improve and become the best I can. It’s a great experience. I’ve always been a huge admirer of Barcelona. Most people of my age played since we were younger.
