Lamine Yamal won the Copa Trophy for the second consecutive time after another extraordinary campaign for the Barcelona Star and the Spanish International
Lamine Yamal became the first player to win the Kopa Trophy for the second year in a row. The Barcelona star has lifted the prestigious award given to the world’s best player under the age of 21.
Yamal wore an all-black suit when he stepped onto the stage to collect his honor for his second consecutive campaign. After he received the trophy, former Chelsea manager and Dutch football hero Rude Garritt told him: “Maybe I’ll be back here later.”
Last season, the Spaniard inspired the side of Hansi Flick to a double victory season between Ala Liga and Copa del Rey. When his team won the latter, he donated two assists in a 3-2 victory over Real Madrid.
He saw a competition between Paris Saint-Germain duo Desire Doue and Joao Neves.

Yamal missed Barcelona’s last two matches due to a gro caliber injury. He is also expected to be on the sidelines this weekend when Barka faces Getahu.
Barcelona manager Hansifrik was in Paris to watch Starman win the award, but told the media over the weekend: “We are working on that.
“But at Lamin, you need to take it every day. He’s working hard, getting treated every day and making good progress.”
The Barcelona manager also said he doesn’t know if the impressive campaign of the young Spaniard will be enough to beat the likes of Osmane Dembele and Bicinha this year. But the Germans believe they won’t win this year either, so they’ll win in the future.
Frick said: “I don’t know (whether he will win the Baron de or win on Monday). One day we see him win this trophy, but the person who won it this year would deserve it.
Since the start of last season, Yamal has scored 20 goals and contributed to 23 assists. Of all European players, none surpassed Yamal’s record of completing 262 dribblings in the same time frame.
In the new season, he has already picked up where he left off, helping out two goals and three assists at Lariga this season. This year’s Barondoor competitors are very impressive.
Dembele and Vitinha Off PSG are two of my favourites, but Real Madrid superstars Kylian Mbappe and Yamal’s Barcelona teammate Trafinha are also understood to be in the race.
