Police and Manchester United have begun an investigation, so before the onlookers intervened, a man repeatedly grabbed another man’s hair and pushed it into the ground was filmed
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Manchester United supporters who went viral on social media to vow not to cut their hair until the club wins five consecutive games over the weekend are investigating.
Frankielett, who has gained over 374,000 followers on his “The United Strand” Instagram account, announced last year that he will not choke up the lock until the Red Devils choke five consecutive victories. He has since appeared on podcasts, with radio shows and his posts being shared across social media after spending more than 350 days without a haircut due to United’s poor shape.
But things got sour on the weekend when he was grabbed by his hair by a man who looked like a fellow fan during his 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday evening. The man can hear him scream: “f*** off, I will do what I want” and “He is not a united fan.”

It is now confirmed that Manchester United and the Manchester police are investigating the incident. A GMP spokesman said:
“We have contacted the victim and inquiries are underway to identify the offender.”
Talking to the Manchester Evening News, Illett defended his decision to raise a challenge that was nothing more than a bit of fun and said it was widely accepted by Manchester United fans who are aware of it. He explained:
“Of course I’ve been a United fan for the rest of my life, but my intention in this challenge wasn’t to highlight Man United’s flaws. It was a bit strange to be honest. I’ve always tried to focus on the positives and hope this is just one thing.
“I thought he was the first to joke, but then he started pulling my hair and called me a ‘cave for c**t’.
“Yesterday was full of hundreds of positive interactions and 99% of all reactions to this challenge were good. But only people are ruining it!
“Like I said before, I didn’t expect it to last long, but I hope I can go for a good run soon.
