Manchester United fans who went viral on social media were filmed being attacked at Old Trafford’s concourse during United’s Chelsea victory in the Premier League
The Manchester United supporter, famous for his pledge to grow his hair, was attacked by fellow fans in a shocking incident filmed in the video. Called United Strand, Frank Illett became the internet sensation with his follicle challenge.
Red Devils followers have vowed not to settle his locks until Reuben Amorim’s team has achieved five consecutive competitive victories. He attended United’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday.
After traveling from his Spanish residence for equipment, Frank was filmed targeted at the stadium concourse by someone questioning his loyalty to United.

The footage shared on social media shows Illett getting energetic and engaged to a supporter, grinning at the elderly hairless fans.
However, afterwards, fellow supporters began to grab his hair, and although initially playful, they looked reluctant to release his grip afterwards.
It quickly became clear that fans could observe with clips trying to pull his hair and push the illet against the floor, Daily Star reports.
The other supporters were aware of the situation and dragged Ellett safely. He seemed shocked by the experience.
The furious supporters apparently targeted Ellett’s viral stunts, claiming he is not a real United fan.

Despite the argument, the incident did not undermine his spirit as Illett shared his own snaps celebrating United’s important victory from the social media stands.
He wrote: “What a place. Wet hair, but still a smile on my face! A big win today! What a crazy game!
Illett set out on the challenge almost a year ago on October 5, 2024, sharing regularly updates on his quirky hairstyle, depicting a comparison with King’s Guard Hat, Marge Simpson and Beehive.
When he began the challenge, Illett admitted that, although his initial goal of securing three consecutive wins seemed too easy, United were struggling to achieve consecutive wins during this period.
