Slaven Bilic wants to return to West Ham and lead the club safely. The former Hammers boss is ready to embrace the two club legends to help the club turn things around.

Billick is already on West Ham’s shortlist if he chooses to replace his overwhelming manager, Graham Potter, after a disastrous start to the season. Former Croatian boss, Bilic is open to the opportunity to return to his beloved hammer.

And if West Ham decides to make changes for the rest of the season, he will be open to working on a caretaker basis. Billick is also trying to work with West Ham’s sports director, Mark Noble.

Billick also aims to help another fan favorite, former West Ham defender James Collins, to the backroom staff, to help change his mood.

Potter is putting pressure after managing one victory in the opening five Premier League match, remaining second from the bottom and facing relegation scrap. West Ham saw former Nottingham Forest Bosnuno Espirito Santo off work after leaving the city ground.

Nuno did a great job in the forest, led them to safety, and then went to Europe. They are believed to have held consultations and Nuno is understood to be interested. Former wolf boss Gary O’Neill and former Eveton manager Sean Dish are other West Ham candidates who are now considering change.

Potter is watching the time they rent, whether this week or during their next international break. Billick, 57, will be a very popular option for fans who are already raucous about the club’s leadership and hierarchy.

Thousands of people protested before Saturday’s defeat at Crystal Palace, shining the spotlight on the pressured hierarchy to raise the heat and make a difference.

Billick led West Ham to seventh place last season in the Bolling Round nine years ago, making it to the Europa League playoffs. The Croatian left midway during the 2017-18 campaign, but he is keen to return after coaching Saudi Arabian club Al Fete, who left in August 2024.

He is also willing to accept the role on a caretaker basis. The past month has been forensic research into analyses of first and adolescent teams as part of their resolve to immediately drag West Ham to the table.
