Mohamed Sarah showed his true colour on social media after his instrumental role in Liverpool’s victory over Everton. The Egyptian forward was crucial in ensuring a positive outcome in the Merseyside derby, supporting the opening goal for Lian Grain Bellch, and Hugo Ekitique also found the back of the net.
As a result, Liverpool reached six points at the top of the Premier League. This is a lead that fell to five points following an Arsenal draw against Manchester City on Sunday. Sarah’s assists have placed him third in all competitions this season, bringing a total contribution to six goals in many appearances. Just a day later, Sarah shared two posts on social media. Liverpool has been preparing for a weekly Carabao Cup tie with Southampton.
In the first post of his Instagram story, Salah shared a video of Ibrahima Konate greeting him and several other Liverpool players.
His second post showed him exercising alone at the gym at the AXA Training Center. He emphasized his desire to continue working as hard as possible to pursue success, even if his teammates had other ideas.
Sarah’s post comes in the wake of the announcement of head coach Arne Slot, who is unlikely to face Southampton on Tuesday night.
The winger is one of five players who are not expected to participate in the third round tie.
“This is because we and our teams in Europe need a team like this because we play a lot of games,” Slot explained after the victory at Everton.
