Milos Kerquez was a key performer in a 2-1 victory at Everton in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory at Everton as he maintained a 100% start in the Premier League season.
Liverpool new star Milos Karques was held over the inspiring pep talk he received from his teammate Andy Robertson before the Merseyside derby. Kerkez joined the Reds on a £40 million move from Bournemouth this summer, effectively securing Robertson’s position in Start XI, but Scott embraced his new role under Arneslot to support the team.
Liverpool won a 2-1 victory over their local rivals at Anfield thanks to first half goals from Lian Grain Bellch and Hugo Ekitique.
With his Derby debut, Kerkez delivered an impressive performance, and helped the slots maintain a perfect start to the season, keeping Everton’s threat Iliman Ndiai in the bay.
Hungary International is competing with veteran Robertson. The importance to the latter team was recently recognized by Slots when he was awarded a vice captaincy following the departure of Trent Alexander Arnold.

Despite facing tough competition with Kerquez for his spot on the team, Scotland captain Robertson offered words of encouragement to his younger colleagues ahead of David Moe’s victory over Toffee, Liverpool Echo reports.
“The relationship is really good,” Kerkez revealed. “Before the game, he motivated me and ‘Go outside and do what you were doing last season’,” so he gave me a little push.
“We’re good. He’s a legend who does amazing things, gets everything and still has quality. He doesn’t seem to be here. He’s a team player. This is Liverpool. We’re competing. He’s pushing me, I’m pushing him.
“As I say, I play a little differently, so I’m adapting to that. I say there’s more freedom on Saturdays. That’s because the coach wanted me to say, I’m going to do what he’s saying in every game.
“I think I’m building a good connection with Virgil (Van Dyke). Obviously, we’re playing more now. I think we’re defending well. Everyone is acclimating to each other.
“At the end of the day, the outcome and points are important. You have to keep winning the game even if the game isn’t progressing from time to time. We always have to find a solution, so we hope that continues.
Speaking about the match, Kerquez said: “We were clearly 2-0 (previously) and I think we should have continued to put in more pressure, strength, but clearly the first half was so much stronger that we had a little bit of energy.
“It’s the same for me. I’m here to do the job. I want to improve, I want to give everything for the badge. Obviously, you have to adapt and the coaches and players are helping me a lot (with that), so I’m improving a lot every day.
“I’m a little different from when I played for Bournemouth, but I don’t hear much of the noise outside. I follow what my coach says to me, so he says to me what I do every week, and that’s what I keep playing.
“Sometimes I fall down to play and keep the ball. At Bournemouth, I said a little more on the higher line and had a little more freedom.
“It’s more important than individual performances, so you have to do what the coaches are telling us. That’s because we win the game. As I say, I play a little differently, so I’m adapting to it. I say I have more freedom on Saturdays.
