Arsenal’s medical team is currently evaluating Noni Maduke’s knee after the England star experienced discomfort in the first half of a 1-1 draw with Manchester City. The 23-year-old left the field at intervals and was replaced by Bukayosaka. Bukayosaka returned from a hamstring injury in Leeds’ 5-0 dismantling last month.

Madueke limped just before halftime whi, pushing against the opponents and moving to Ginger. However, he managed to keep playing and fell into visible pain after blocking a late-first-half cross from Belgian winger Jeremy Doc.

Arsenal is currently running tests at Madueke to determine if the summer signature was damaged. Since his move from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates, Madueke has been an impressive form, showing off all six Arsenal matches across all competitions so far, despite the gunner’s lack of scores yet.

He started his final five games and made his debut in place of his official debut in a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Maduce also started both England’s international matches earlier this month, scoring in a 5-0 defeat for Serbia in Belgrade.

Following yesterday’s match, Mikel Arteta revealed that Maduke suffered a “very early” injury in the match against City. The Gunners fight to secure points after Eringhaaland advances the visitors with the Emirates.

Gabriel Martinelli continued his recent scoring streak, scoring his second goal in many games off the bench at stoppage, ensuring Arsenal left on points.

Premier League candidates face a tough schedule before their next international break. They first headed to Portvale for a League Cup clash, then travelled to Tyneside to face Newcastle at St James Park on Sunday.

The Olympiacos will visit next Wednesday for Arsenal’s second Champions League group stage match.

Currently, Arsenal is in second place at the Premier League table, taking over leader Liverpool after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Anfield last month.

Ben White was able to return to the Arsenal lineup against Port Vale on Wednesday, with skipper Martin Odegard looking at his comeback with Newcastle. Piero Hincapee drew with the city due to fitness concerns.

Long-term absentees Kai Herberts and Gabriel Jesus are expected to be healthy before the end of the year, with the German forward expected to return in November.
