The Red Devils were in cruise control before the Brazilian was sent off just before halftime and giving the Blues a faint hope of hope before the second half. The former Real Madrid man took United’s second place and advanced 2-0, but while he was on the yellow card he made another dangerous challenge and saw the second yellow that the referee had wielded around. It halted United’s momentum and prevented them from becoming dominant.
The second half was much more even, with Trebocharoba setting the last 10 minutes late and nervous. And while United remains alive, Amorim feels that Casemiro’s experience means that the flaws will stick to him. He told BBC Sports:
“We ultimately struggled, but we deserved a victory. Our crowd, our fans, our fans, our fans are easily pleased. If you give them everything there is, it’s something that needs to understand our players.

Amorim joked that his side “I like to constantly complicate our game, but that was a good day,” but he admitted to the host that Chelsea himself would “end the game sooner” after just five minutes after Robert Sanchez was sent out.
The victory eases pressure on the Portuguese head coach who saw his team dominate in the Manchester Derby last weekend. Amorim met with Ir Jim Ratcliffe mid-week and has retained support for the hierarchy despite his disastrous records since being in charge.
Bruno Fernandez, who scored the 100th goal to open up the score, welcomed the team’s defensive efforts, delving into three points. “We had another guy on the pitch before Casemiro was sent off. We defended very well, acknowledged one goal and got the results we wanted in the end.”
United are currently scoring seven points from their opening five games. This includes equipment from Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. With a victory in the blues, Amorim’s side will sit in 10th place as things stand.
