Young Jack Glaeshe won the yellow card after allowing his temper to boil following the Merseyside Derby and confronted the match officials alongside Everton boss David Moyes. Liverpool has extended their perfect Premier League record to five wins from five games this season thanks to strikes from Lian Grain Bellch and Hugo Ekitike.

However, tension erupted after the final whi, and Grealish won a reservation from Judge Darren Ingland for his enthusiastic exchange. Grealish’s England colleague Jordan Pickford intervened to prevent his teammates from landing in deeper trouble.

The real-life champions established a 2-0 advantage at halftime, appearing in control before Idrissa Geye reduced the time mark deficit. This led to a dramatic conclusion, but Toffees was unable to find an elusive equalizer as they preserved the perfect beginning to a fresh campaign.

Grelish smoked after the match, explaining to TNT Sports that he was dissatisfied due to his defeated attitude on his part.

“That’s what I was expecting, and coming here is hostile and faster,” he said. “I don’t think we played well in the first half. We came at halftime and chatted with our manager and lost the game in the second half.

“The reason it’s frustrating is that if we were playing that way, it would have been a different game that pushed us that way from the start, and we ended up not getting that final goal.

“When I saw them (Liverpool) this season, they were very good, but there have been a few times when they admitted two after they went 2-0. We had a belief.

Match of the Day analyst and former Everton striker Wayne Rooney was impressed by Toffee’s display and believed they were on the better side overall. He states:

“I think Everton was probably a better team after that. They lacked cutting edge, strength and aggressiveness. The change in the second half was positive, but it should have been done earlier.”

Moe joined the conversation and seemed disappointed that Everton had added just three minutes of stop time at the end of the 90 in search of an equalizer.

Speaking about TNT, commentator Ally McCoist pointed out: “He is a very unhappy David. I don’t know what he is unhappy about, but I think he will be proud of the boy when he returns and drinks tea.
