Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea: Bruno Fernandez and Casemiro’s first half goals helped the Red Devils score three points as two red cards (one on each side) were screened at Old Trafford.
Manchester United produced an ideal response to the Derby humility, trying to see 10 Chelsea to record their second victory of the season. Bruno Fernandez rolled the ball on a rainy night as the pressure valve was temporarily eased at Reuben Amorim, who had to endure the last tense minutes.
The Portuguese star responded to the flick first and survived the Varcheck on his first finish. His mid-partner, Casemiro, took part in the act when he returned home at the back post.
Robert Sanchez was fired four minutes into the contest when United was beaten to the ball by Brian Mbeumo when they competed in goal. He narrowly avoided giving a penalty, but that was the end of his night as Enzo Maresca chose to make an immediate change in approach.
He pulled out both his wingers – Estevao and Pedro Neto, as the visitors set defensive intentions. Fernandez scored nine minutes after the red card, which began a wave of constant attacks on the visitors’ targets.
Casemiro doubled the lead just before the 40-minute mark after Cole Palmer was carried with more defenders purchased by Maresca. However, the Brazilian ended his night prematurely when Andrei Santos’ foul landed him the second yellow card, making it 10-10.
United’s one-way traffic was eased as the two teams played with equal personnel in the second half. Wesley Fofana thought he gave Chelsea a chance to fight when he got home from close range, but only to be rejected by the offside flag.
Alejandro Garnacho struggled to create a new team in the final third and remained on the submarine bench throughout the contest in his first return to Manchester. But they set a tense finish when Trevo Charova scored in Chelsea’s first effort on target 80 minutes later. Maresca’s team continued pressing, but was unable to create a final opportunity as they were looking for an equalizer.

Altay Bayindir 5 – It’s the game’s condition that was barely being tested and you’ll be frustrated by missing out on his clean sheet. I handled James Cross well during the suspension time.
Patrick Dorgu 7-He continued to show a lot of energy to the left. Chelsea’s lack of offensive threat allowed him to become more effective in the final third.
Matthijs de Ligt 6-Chelsea threats rarely fought, but most of the time he was keen to keep things firm and ride the ball in a more advanced position.
Harry Maguire 6-The team was leveling out players, but after a big marshall on the backline, the middle half of the English language was needed more. When he went out they didn’t seem very certain.
Luke Shaw 6-United’s backline was rarely tested, but it was firmly endured apart from goals, and the veteran defender continues to play his role in the back three.
Noussair Mazraoui 6 – still didn’t look comfortable as a wing back and struggled to make the third most meaningful impact of the offense, but endured Pedro when he broke through the goal and created a key tackle.
Bruno Fernandez 8 – marking the night with the 100th goal for the Red Devils, and considering the host was a man, the playmaker was able to ultimately adopt an offensive role that suited his qualities. It demonstrated a blend of his usual skills and desires.
Casemiro 5-Chelsea came up with a third goal against Chelsea when they returned home in the first half and looked much more comfortable on a team that could control ownership. However, he showed a total lack of experience when he was shown the second yellow in the first half stop time.
Bryan Mbeumo 7 – It often appears that something can be made in the last third. His pace and tricks make him a constant threat. If he hadn’t been carried to Sanchez when he ran at the finish line, he might have scored.
Benjamin Sesco 4 – pressure will be put on new strikers who are still having limited impact. He hadn’t scored his first goal yet and was carried at halftime. Few players had less touch than United frontmen.
Amad 6 – did not enjoy the same influence as Mbeumo on other aspects, but overall he was a happy runner. He failed in bold effort at the back post in the second half after he was not marked.

Manuel Ugarte 5-Purchase to bring control to midfield and managed to erase some of Chelsea’s offense.
Matheus Cunha 6 – returning from injury, his class quickly became clear, especially as the host managed the final minutes.
Renee Yoro 4-He was in a calm situation, but he saw the cross over his head before Chaloba scored.
Mason Mount 5 – managed to land a bragging right against his previous club.

Robert Sanchez 1-I spent four minutes on the pitch and saved one routine. He fouled Mbemo before fleeing the goal as he quickly showed up with a red card and scored the goal.
Marc Cucurella 4 – Another Chelsea backline to get your reservation. He struggled with constant pressure in the first half and was unable to affect the final third when the team was even.
Wesley Fofana 5-Frenchman was handed another injury setback when forced to leave the game at the 1 hour mark. It was hard to stop the unified onslaught early on.
Trevoh Chalobah 6-played Fernandez onside for the opening goal of the game, and although Chelsea couldn’t fight early when he was under COSH, he came up with the goal that brought Chelsea back to the contest.
Reece James 6-produced a stunning early block to reject Dolgue a few minutes after the game, but spent most of the night trying to keep the scoreline down.
Enzo Fernandez 4 – Fighting all night, his frustration was sometimes evident, but he struggled to gain a lot of control in the middle of the park with the host on his front paw. Book for a troublesome challenge.
Moises Caicedo 5- enjoys an electric start until this year, but he and Fernandez have risen in numbers. I tried to move things on, but it was his night.
The Pedro Neto N/A-Red Card was forced to change the system from Maresca, and withdrew somewhat cruelly at the four-minute mark.
Cole Palmer 2-Malesca continued his rebuild, touching the ball once before becoming the third Chelsea player within 20 minutes.

Joao Pedro 5-Hungry for service throughout the evening. I saw VAR checks shaken off when he sued for a first half penalty, but he continued his efforts, even if he was primarily playing United back alone.
