Mohamed Sarah did not add a second assist to his name against Atletico Madrid after Hugo Echicicke was unable to convert from a few yards.

Hugo Echicque’s prominent mistake against Atletico Madrid proved Mohamed Sarah’s point that the Liverpool duo is not on the same page yet. The Reds won the Spanish Giants 3-2 on Wednesday in their first Champions League match of the season.

Marcos Lorente’s brace cancelled an early strike from Andy Robertson and Sarah, but it was Captain Virgil van Dik who rose to the highest point to oversee Header past Jan Oblak in the 92nd minute to win the match at Anfield.

However, there was still time on the clock as Red was pushed fourth before the full-time whistle blew. Dominik Szoboszlai played the ball to Salah, who plundered the right flank and finished the house from a few yards across the ball to Ekitike.

Despite the French seemed to easily oversee the ball behind the net, he instead fluffed his shots over the bar with his efforts. This was certainly a goal attempt that the 23-year-old Liverpool fan, who scored three goals for the club this season, has yet to see.

Ekitique arrives at the right moment of Sarah’s pass, but he may have made the wrong pace the Egyptians put on the ball.

The failed conversion gives Sarah’s previous approval credibility, meaning he still doesn’t have a family understanding of Ekitique on the pitch. Given that the pair only started five games together, that’s not the cause of concern, but you might decide to keep an eye on him as the campaign progresses.

It appeared in the 33-year-old man from Blazers Media Network who says it will take patience when it comes to building chemistry with his new teammate, especially Ekitique.

“So far, I haven’t understood the connection yet,” Liverpool said, great. “Like Darwin or Lucho, or the people they were playing in front of them, or Diogo. I knew where to start with Diogo or Darwin.

“I know where to find them. They were very well known about their games, but with Hugo, he’s still new. Sometimes they need the ball on the field. Sometimes they need it in space. They try to understand it through training sessions and videos.

“My manager shows us, so I’ll get it straight away because my game will help grow too.” Ekitike was featured in the game 58 minutes after being dropped to the bench for the first time in his Liverpool career, giving way to the club’s record-breaking signature at Alexander Isaac, where he made his Reds debut.

The relegation to the alternative bench did nothing to reduce the warm-up and the support the strikers received from the crowd at Anfield who serenaded the French star when they came in the second half.

Ekitike was one of the four Frenchmen involved in the match, but it was the presence of Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann that proved to be a special moment for him. Following the final whis, he traded shirts with the legend of Le Bruce, who retired from international obligations last year, but Ekitique made a senior bow for the national team this month.

Fascinated by the ownership of the 34-year-old shirt, Ekitike visited Instagram stories and posted a photo of herself holding the kit before tagging Griezmann and simply writing.

With the first Merseyside derby of the season starting Saturday, we haven’t seen who is seeing Arne Slot expected to fall to the bench in an attack with one of Cody Gakpo, Isak or Ekitike.
