Chelsea manager Enzo Mareska has completely x Raheem Sterling and Axel Disaji from the first team, but he has little sympathy for their struggle
Enzo Maresca has struggled to sympathize with Raheem Sterling and Axel Disaj as he continues to separate from Chelsea’s first team.
Both Sterling and DiSazi were unable to complete a move away from the Blues through the summer transfer window, despite their acceptance of the club selling unnecessary duos.
Even with windows, the pair continued training from the senior team, and the PFA investigated how the club handled both.
Maresca admits that they are both in tricky situations, but does not share much sympathy and refers to her father having worked as a fisherman for 50 years.
“My dad is 75 years old and for 50 years he has been a fisherman and has worked from 2am to 10am,” the Chelsea head coach said. “This is hard in life, not the players, not the way they work.”

Maresca continues. “I am in Raheem’s situation and Axel’s situation as a player and certainly knows that it is not the best feeling for the player.
“If you’re a player, it means you want to train and play the game, and for another reason the situation is at this moment and you know that the club is giving them the opportunity to work the right way.
The Blues boss also strongly denied that the treatment was more extreme than other major clubs. “I know that’s what you like and what you want to talk about, but that’s not just Chelsea, but a club in the world.
“We can promise clubs in Italy, Italy, Spain, UK, France, USA, Brazil, and the world. For some reason, players and clubs don’t find a solution, give players all the tools to do a training session and do it all, but if they’re not involved in the team, they’re not involved in the team.
“Again, I know that’s something you want to talk about, but it’s not about Chelsea, it’s about any club in the world.”
Maresca and his Chelsea side will face Manchester United tonight, leaving Sterling and the disaster at home. But it’s a quick turnaround for players involved after an exploit against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Cole Palmer is set to be worthy of facing the Red Devils, while others will be evaluated during Friday’s session. Maresca said: “Cole is fine. We have sessions. We’re back yesterday. So we need to evaluate some of the players. There are some doubts. But we haven’t had a session since Wednesday’s game.
