Manchester United’s Misfitjadon Sancho is said to be a “upgrade” for Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford as the villain’s debut ends with a penalty shootout defeat
Unai Emery revealed that Jadon Sancho must be fitted before Aston Villa fires on all cylinders. After a 1-1 draw, the Manchester United Man on loan made his debut for the villain as he left the Carabao Cup on a penalty against Brentford.
Sancho had the opportunity to raise the villa to 2-0 after Harvey Elliott’s opener, but hit the post from a tight angle before Aaron Hickey equalised the bee.
As a result, Villa has not yet won this season.
“We have to rebuild our teams and adapt them to new players as quickly as possible to be as strong as possible in our structure,” Emery said.
“In an offensive position, we need to fit Sancho and make Elliott adapt to us,” he added.

Sancho lacks match fitness, not playing for United during the preseason, before departing Old Trafford for Villa Park. He made the same move as Marcus Rushford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Red Devils villa.
Speaking about Sky Sports after the Villa Cup came out, Pandit Jamie Redknap revealed his feelings for Sancho. “I don’t think Sancho is an upgrade for what’s with Rashford and (Marco) Asensio,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sancho posted a message on Instagram after her debut.
“I’m happy about my debut,” he said. “It’s not the outcome we wanted, it’s something we build above all else.”
This weekend, Villa is about to arrest an astonishing slump against Sunderland and start a new season. But Emery claims that his charges are improving after smashing the duck that ultimately scored.
“We’ve improved things,” Emery argued at a press conference. “We need to build our team again and adapt to new players as quickly as possible to be as strong in our structure.
“We tried to balance and play 90 minutes, create opportunities and do what we needed to do, score one goal and draw.
“Our way is for players to know each other, get the combination and try to build a team as quickly as possible with the structure we want to get, defensively and offensively strong. We have to embrace the outcome and continue.”
