Part returned to court for a judicial hearing on Wednesday hours after featuring Villarreal in a narrow defeat to Tottenham. He is not prevented from playing football, but he must notify the police of his international trip one day in advance.

The midfielder appeared on South Work Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to all six charges against him. His trial date is set for November 2, 2026.

In a statement in July when the party was indicted, his lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, said:

“He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name. Given the ongoing legal process, my client cannot comment further.”

Part left Arsenal at the end of last season at the expiration of his contract and later joined Villarreal on a free transfer.

An Arsenal spokesman said at the time Partey was indicted, “The player’s contract ended on June 30th. Due to ongoing legal proceedings, the club cannot comment on the case.”

Upon arriving at Villarreal, the Spanish club issued the following statement: “The club recognizes that the player is currently involved in legal proceedings in the UK, and the player maintains his innocence and denies all charges against him.

“The club respects the fundamental principles of innocence presumption and awaits the outcome of the judicial process, which is responsible for clarifying the facts of the case.

“Due to British law in relation to the ongoing litigation, the club cannot further comment.”
