Alexander Isaac was removed from the Liverpool team that scored 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday afternoon, with Reds boss Arne Slot saying it will be a while before he can fully speed up
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has admitted that the UK record signing Alexander Isaac is not in a state that has a massive appearance as the schedule rises to coincide with the start of the Champions League.
The £125 million striker was removed from the team for Sunday’s final 1-0 victory at Burnley, playing just 18 minutes of football in Sweden, missing preseason and match time due to controversy with Newcastle.
ISAK held a hard training session on Saturday, and was involved in recovery while his new teammates worked for Turf Moor for four consecutive times, with Mohamed Sara’s penalty extending the Reds’ 100% record and restoring a three-point lead at the Premier League Summit.
“When players start a season where they have five weeks off, they give them a specific base before they play 45 minutes,” said slot, where Atletico Madrid’s Atletico Madrid turned his face at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

“We got him in a state where we can see his preseason begin from Newcastle, and he needs proper training before he has a particular base.
“We try to prepare players to play once a week at the beginning of the season, and try to do more before the rhythm of three games a week.
“Alex isn’t ready for a three-game schedule in a week, but today we can use him on five minutes and Wednesdays at 10 and 15, but I don’t think that’s how to build him.
“In Sweden, they did the right thing by giving him a good session without playing much.
“But if he plays 45 on Wednesday, don’t expect to play more than 45 on Saturday (against Everton) as his body isn’t prepared for that.”
Slot admits his team has been lucky after getting frustrated with Clarett’s organized defense, and after sending a delay from Burnley’s Leslie Ugochuk, it was reassuring to take the three points after being rewarded for chasing more attackers and chasing the victory.
“They have most of the points so I have nothing negative about it, but it was hard to pass 11 players in their 18-yard box and we were expected to draw the whole game,” Slot said.
“But we tried the alternative we went to bring in all the players that could attack the pitch.
“I think we were six or seven in the end, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with scoring with us, but we created a penalty and had a big chance with Jeremie (Frimpong) before that.”
Despite his defeat, Burnley boss Scott Parker was proud of his player.
“It’s really tough and I’m doing everything for the players. We took the game in the 95th minute today and the penalty decided that,” he said.
“We had to survive from time to time, so many people didn’t go there from time to time.
“They survive their moments, they work tirelessly for the cause, relying on returning to their default position of ‘Let’s do what we can’t’ and I’m extremely proud of them. ”
