Manchester United’s poor results set under Reuben Amorim followed, and the former player continued to appeal to Portuguese coaches to change his strict philosophy
Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Batt argues that if Reuben Amorim wants to succeed in Old Trafford, he needs to “bite and change the bullet.” His ex and fellow Paul Shoals have doubled, claiming that the system he plays is “easy to exercise.”
The Portuguese boss overseeed another defeat over the weekend as Manchester City won the dominant victory in the Manchester Derby. Much of the talk centers around a 3-4-3 formation in which Amorim refuses to change, despite little to bring about his scream since his arrival at Old Trafford.
He previously had success in Sports Lisbon, but frequently said that if the club wants to play differently, he must plunder him. Amorim’s philosophy continues to be separated due to the lack of midfield staff and natural wing backs.

The United boss claimed that his two midfielders were running to City on Sunday, but Batt has asserted that if the player he chose cannot effectively avoid the pitch enough and wants to start winning the game, then change is necessary.
He told the “The Good the Bad and the Football” podcast:
“If he wants to get results and keep working for the long term, he’ll have to bite the bullet and change a bit, otherwise they’ll keep losing the game.
“You look at Pep Guardiola and he has the best philosophy football has ever seen, but he changes.
Amorim’s determination to stick to his principles means United shows little or no flexibility. The Shoals cited the ease with which they can make their opponents plan for them, given that the Red Devils continue to play in a similar way each week.
He said:
“When the seat in the game comes an hour before the game, how your opponent plays, five in the back, four in the back? With Amorim, everyone knows.
