Reuben Amorim is said to be turning his eyes to Benfica as the x is approaching a lot following the start of a disastrous season for Manchester United.
United were hit 3-0 by Manchester City in the Manchester Derby on Sunday, and Amorim found himself on the range from experts. The Portuguese boss has managed just eight wins from his 31 league matches since replacing Erik Ten Hag last November.
Despite being widely praised in his hometown for his extraordinary stint at Sports CP, he defeated the 2019 title jinx and returned to the European stage.

Outsiders are monitoring his situation, and Portuguese media suggests he is lined up as a possible manager for Benfica.
The Portuguese giants will be performing their presidential elections next month. Along with former Benfica and Portuguese star Nuno Gomez, who stand as vice president, candidate Joa Norona Lopez is reportedly putting pressure on Amorim as his future coach.
The duo attended Sunday’s clash at Etihad Stadium and were faced with questions about swirling speculation after returning to Lisbon.
Nonohha Lopez explained: “We went to Manchester to watch the Derby, and when we were together we would take the time to hold meetings and prepare for the future of Benfica.
“After the match, we didn’t meet Bernardo Silva or Reuben Amorim. I would like to bring a culture of victory to Benfica.
When asked about the possibility that Amorim might manage Benfica in the future, Nonoha Lopez added:
Meanwhile, Gomez rejected his visit to Manchester and his relationship with United Manager. “I don’t want to talk about it, I’m a friend of Reuben Amorim and he has a contract with Manchester United,” he said.
“We saw this game, Joao (Noronha Lopes) is a passionate football fan and I enjoyed this experience with him.”
