Reuben Amorim defended the Manchester United team after a 3-0 loss in the Manchester Derby, but Roy Keene felt that Old Trafford Chiefs should be upset with their exhibit

Roy Keene was not impressed to hear Reuben Amorim protect the Manchester United team, seeing him lose inclusively to Manchester City in the Derby.

The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 by Pep Guardiola’s side, giving the deserved respect for boxing legend and giant fan Ricky Hutton, following the sad news of his death earlier in the day. Phil Foden opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and Ehring notched twice after the break.

Despite his overwhelming performance, Amorim refused to throw players under the bus after the match, feeling that everyone on the team was giving Sky Sports the best they could and blamed the outcome. However, Keene is in a different opinion, saying that the Portuguese coach should be “furious” when he sees his team losing in the derby.

“He said he wasn’t angry there, he was pleased with his efforts… They lost 3-0 in the Derby game. You should smoke, you should be furious,” the Sky Sports critic said.

“He’s talking about moments, but the football game is determined by the moment. It always seems like a more opposition moment than United at this moment, and I have included a team like Grimsby, by the way.

“He’s supposed to be furious. I like emotional managers, but I also like the managers are angry. I couldn’t imagine being in the dressing room after losing the Derby game 3-0.

The loss against City in the Derby means United are only banking four points from four Premier League matches. Amorim provided his team’s defense when asked where United felt they were now after the match.

“If you look at the game, last year we drew and won against the city. Today we got a little better, but the details were clearly not enough.

“I’m not happy. I didn’t see one player on my team not giving the best. The rest is with me. Disappointment can sometimes feel we can run more, but today I didn’t have that feeling. It’s my fault, not their fault, I’m fine with that.

“I know it’s difficult for our fans, but again, I can’t refer to one player (the lacking); I can improve the intelligence of the game, but that can be improved because of me.”
