Lord Alan Sugar threatened to sue both Sky Sports and Jamie Rednap after Pandit “disturbing the Tottenham brand.”

The Premier League match marked the Spurs’ first game since Daniel Levy resigned from his role as chairman with a spectacular announcement. Levy has been running the show since Enic, a company he has a significant share in, bought a majority stake in Tottenham 24 years ago.

Electronics mogul Sugar oversaw a FA Cup victory in 1991, overseeing the 1999 League Cup victory, and during Levy’s responsibilities the club also unlocked two trophies, moving to a new £1.2 billion stadium and cutting-edge training ground.

Discussing the 63-year-old shock exit, a decision made by Tottenham’s new look hierarchy, Rednap criticized the state where Sugar left the club and praised the “great work” Levi did. “I was critical of Daniel Levy. There were some highs I didn’t like how he was run,” Rednap, 52, said ahead of kickoff.

“But he did an amazing job there when it comes to training grounds, facilities, infrastructure and (architecture) one of the best football stadiums in the world… You remember Alan Sugar and the way he left the club was totally confused.

“Daniel Levy left that in a really great way. (Chief Executive Officer) Vinai (Venkatesham) knows that, and I think the people in charge now really see this club and can move forward.”

Just 21 minutes after Sky posted a clip of Redknapp’s comments on his previous Twitter, X, Sugar responded with the threat of legal action. “Jamie Redknap is a double barrel idiot. He talks a lot of garbage.

“When Daniel Levi took over the Spurs, Alan Sugar left the club in right chaos, he said.

Sky Sports declined to comment when contacted by Miller Football.

Sugar continued to watch reports of the evening clash where the Spurs were ranted about Val after they had a goal after they had been rebuttal fouled in the first half. Thomas Frank’s side won 3-0 thanks to late goals from Pipe Sahl, Lucas Bergval and Mickey Van de Ben.
