And United boss Amorim suggested that Minee was “not used to fighting for his place” in the team.
“He may not be used to fighting for his place,” Amorim said. “He’s uncomfortable, but he’s a very good kid. He wants to learn, and it can be difficult to push something different to the player.
“The way I play is completely different from my last manager. I’ve seen a lot of games from the Portuguese Premier League, and you can feel Manchester United really (playing) transitioning.
“He was the only guy who calmed down the game. Now there are other players who calmed down the game.
“I’m also looking forward to more from Kobbie Mainoo. Sometimes if I start him more, Kobbie Mainoo will play and he’ll be harder to take.

“I need to go with what I feel now, and that’s the only feeling. He’s starting the European Championship final with a team with a lot of talented players. (Phil) Foden played that game.
“He was playing. I know all of that, but sometimes I have another way of looking at the game.”

“I remember Vitanya wasn’t playing for Wolverhampton,” Amorim said.
“Today you see Vitanya is the best midfielder in the world.
“So you never know. Something can happen from time to time.”
It remains to be seen whether Mainoo will appear in Etihad’s Sunday Manchester Derby.
“You can’t compare,” the Portuguese added. “That guy is always winning. If he can’t win anymore, he can relax.
“I have to prove it every day. I’m really happy with it. Compare it to Guardiola’s situation, it’s just a joke.
“We have bigger issues, but we are working on everything, sometimes frustrated and angry, but we are facing all the issues and are trying to improve them.
“We’re seeing teams play much better now. To win more games, we need to be more clinical and things become easier.”

Guardiola also acknowledges the importance of the latest Derby.
“I think about myself. We always respect the rivals of the city,” Guardiola told BBC Sports.
“We’re back on Thursday – the players are back in good spirits – and I’m looking forward to it for our fans. I know how important it is.
“(It’s) a game that’s really important for us to change the dynamics, and I trust the players a lot. We’re going to play a good game.”
