Eddie Howe also sidelined the new No. 9 action for a foreseeable future and £40 million Jacob Ramsey ahead of the wolf host on Saturday.

Newcastle United are shaken by news that the new No. 9 Yoane Wissa has been injured, and Eddie Howe is not sure when he will return.

Magpie preparations for Saturday’s meeting with table wolves have been hit with news that a new £50 million boy is unavailable, not as fellow new boy Jacob Ramsey.

Wissa was injured during an international break while working with Dr. Congo. He was replaced with 16 minutes left against Senegal in World Cup qualifiers earlier this week. It has been confirmed to be a knee issue for a former Brentford man, but there is a great deal of concern about how long he will go out. He is preparing consultations with experts in the matter, and admits that Howe cannot talk about the length of his absence.

Wissa returned to the club’s training ground yesterday to report, but spoke at a pre-game press conference on Friday, when Toon’s boss revealed:

“It’s a knee injury, but I don’t know any more. I just saw him for the first time yesterday.

“He felt the effects of the injury just before he dropped out. He’ll leave for the test and probably see the specialists see.”

Wissa started with Kinshasha and raised his side to 2-1 before halftime, but only did they succumb to defeat.

Ramsey is also set to miss the match with an ankle injury, and Howe revealed, “He suffered an ankle injury against Leeds, so unfortunately he will be out until the next international break.”

However, Jollington recovers from the gro caliber problem he picked up against Liverpool, and Brazil International lines up to intervene in Ramsey. Howe confirmed: “Joe was fit and available and was on the training pitch, so getting him back is great.”

Another new signature, £69 million striker Nick Urtemaid, is a good fit for his debut against the wolf.
