Arsenal’s bad boy Niklas Bentner launched foul-mouth Tillard at Arsen Wenger after the transfer was in the middle. Bentner, who also played in Nottingham Forest, was regularly headlined during British football, but it wasn’t always for the right reasons.
Wenger brought Dane to the Premier League in the mid-2000s, but despite his spark of quality, he was a mysterious figure that often annoyed his fans. With his relationship with Wenger going in the wrong direction, Bendner was eager to leave in 2013 and was about to join Crystal Palace.
After Arsenal failed to secure an alternative striker ahead of the transfer deadline, the deal was agreed solely to allow Wenger to pull the plug. It caused an explosive reaction from the bend toner.

Writing on both sides of his autobiography, he stated: “We spent most of the day there (in the palace). “Why can’t Arsenal sell me by pulling their f****** fingers?
“Wenger called after 8pm. He’ll get straight to it. “We couldn’t buy the striker we wanted. So now you have to be a backup. Next year will be your job.”
“I hang up, look at Tom (Brooks, his agent), and shruggle. Then I call back and say a lot of ugly, rude things like “a** hole” and “w****.”
“We can’t stand each other anymore,” I say, I finish my tillard. “If we break up, that would be the best thing.
Bentner’s relationship with Wenger did not recover, and during the 2013/14 season he eventually left for Wolfsberg, Germany, where he spent two years. He then returned to British football in Forest, then Championship Forest, on a free transfer in 2016.
Just six months at City Grounds, he moved again, joining Norway’s Rosenborg and Copenhagen began after his career finally moved to the club.
Arsenal and Forest meet at the lunch kickoff on Saturday. It will be the first game in Forest HotSeat by former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou since trading the looted Nuno Espirito Santo.
