Benjamin Sesco hasn’t made an impact at Manchester United yet, but his former coach Rene Orfather believes the youngster is just as good as Manchester City star Ehring Haaland
Football coach René Aufather, who played a key role in the development of Ehling Haaland and Benjamin Sesco, boldly predicts that Manchester United forward will coincide with Manchester City’s goal-car prowess.
Aufhaser, who helped shape Haaland and Sesko into two of Europe’s most thrilling forwards at RB Salzburg, was asked to draw a comparison of the two. Advances this weekend’s Manchester Derby, he confidently stated that Sesco, who switched from RB Leipzig to the Red Devils this summer, was as good as Haaland.
Despite being 22 years old who started one game under Reuben Amorim, Aufather, the second round exit of the disastrous League Cup to the town of Grimsby, is confident when the United forwards realized his potential and both Haaland and Sesco were still raw talent.
In an interview with Sky Sports, which was broadcast on Manchester Evening News before the Derby, he said:

“He will develop in the next year and two years. I’m sure. Elling reached his mark after his move from Dortmund to Mann City. We’ll see. Benji will reach this mark in a year or two.
This is not the first opportunity to draw a direct parallel between Sesko and Haaland. The promising united striker even revealed that many teammates had told him he outperformed the Norwegian, who earned 88x nets with 17 assists on City’s 100 Premier League outings.
In a previous interview, Sesko revealed:
“My teammates at the club say Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even say I’m better than him!”
Sesco confirmed these statements when the switch to United was confirmed. This was probably wise as he hasn’t made his mark yet with one of United’s three alternatives in the Premier League.
Through his stints with RB Salzburg, FC Liefering and RB Leipzig, Sesko found the net 100 times and provided 26 assists on 228 career outings. He also scored 16 goals for Slovenia with 43 caps, but failed to find a target in a 3-0 defeat with Sweden and Sweden in the recent international break.
Nevertheless, he was supported by his international colleague Andraz Spoller, who still sought patience. He told reporters:
“I believe he can become a perfect striker in the next two or three years. But he’s still young. He’ll help Manchester United. They just need to be patient. He scores goals and believes that every year he’ll get better.”
