Arne Slot believes Alexander Isaac is the world’s greatest striker when he wins the biggest trophy.
The Reds boss believes they have landed one of the best on the planet with a record £125 million signature from Newcastle. However, Slots claims that his new No. 9 can place top honors on the world, like the Premier League and Champions League. When asked if he was the best striker in the world, Slot said:
“At this moment, he’s not – he’s been out for four months. If you wrote, I said he’s not the best in the world, you need to add (bits) it.

Isaac, 25, could be on the bench due to a clash with Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday as the Reds look to stay at the top of the Premier League as they remain on the 100% start of the season.
The Swedish striker has clearly proven himself with 54 Premier League goals in three seasons at Newcastle, but helped out last season’s Carabao Cup magpies and beat the Reds in the final. But now he has the pressure to play for Liverpool and the UK record transfer fees.
Slot added: “It might put pressure on him and me, but there’s nothing extra, but if you have this on your shirt (pointing to the Liverpool badge), if we didn’t sign him, you probably still expected us to compete for the league.
“In terms of the money spent on one player, it’s also part of our model. It’s not the first time I’ve done this. I did it when I wasn’t there. I did this with Virgil (Van Dik), Ali (Becker), and now Florian (wirtz).
“We’re targeting players and we want to have him. We decide what his value is. If that matches what the club wants, we’re not afraid to act.
“We get that money from winning the league with trading players after spending nothing.”
