Spur’s cruise to Derby victory as 10 West Hams collapse
Rampant Tottenham Hotspur came in second in the Premier League table with 10 West Ham United’s 3-0 Derby Day Slashing at London Stadium.
After a tight first half that ruled out where Christian Romero’s header was pushed against Mickey Van de Venn at the West Hambox, Thomas Frank’s side blew Hammer with three goals in the 17th minute scoring blitz.
Pape Matar Sarr returned home the header in 47 minutes from the deep Xavi Simons Corner 54 minutes after Tomas Soucek crashed into Palhinha, whom he was lucky to avoid serious injuries, before Tomas Soucek was sent for a scary, slow slide challenge.
The Spurs waste a bit of time counting one-person advantage alongside Lucas Bergval, then crashed the Majestic Header into the net from Romero’s delivery in the 57th minute, before Bergval played the provider to hit the third lowest corner into the corner of the home net in 64 minutes.
Three wins from the first four games, one loss, Frank’s side-end Saturday, with nine points in second place for leader Arsenal, and one drift of local rivals on goal difference.
But Graham Potter’s misery as West Ham’s manager continues to bottom third in the rankings.
Despite beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 at City Ground two weeks ago, he has yet to oversee his home victory in his seven games in charge.
