Wayne Rooney knows everything about the ups and downs of football, but Manchester United legendary young son Kai is currently learning these things the hard way.
Wayne Rooney’s 15-year-old son Kai says “life can’t get worse” after suffering a painful injury while playing for the Manchester United development team. The 35-year-old Rooney has won numerous titles at Old Trafford, hoping that his eldest son can follow in his footsteps.
Unfortunately, the only step Youngkai will take in the next few days is on crutches. Before the retreat, Kai enjoyed the fast rise of lightning at Rooney’s old club.
He was recently called to the United-19s team, who was playing with other prospects four years older than him. His call was then followed by a sweet goal he scored for under 18.
Sadly, the positive momentum he has accumulated needs to be rediscovered as he is set over a period of bystanders. Kai uploaded a mirror selfie of himself, showing the protective boots he had on his right foot. In the caption of the photo’s overlay, he writes, “Life will not get worse,” along with the crying emoji.

It’s a post that evokes sympathy from all football players who have suffered bad injuries in their careers. The nature of his injury, or the time he will stop him from playing, is currently unknown.
However, the tone of his post suggests that it may be a long time before he plays for United again. He still doesn’t take the spotlight on himself like his iconic father, but there were many promises around Kai.
He usually appears in a central position for United, like Rooney SR, but he also stars in a wider region. Kai was particularly impressive when he was playing for the Red Devils in Northern Ireland’s Super Cup NI earlier this summer.
Wayne also appeared in a similar tournament when he was young and hungry in Everton. Rooney cheered on his son’s exhibit along with his wife Colleen and his youngest sons Kit and Cass.
The former England skipper was recently asked to explain what he had had so far influence on Kai’s youthful football career. Instead of giving him advice, the best goalscorer of all time makes it possible for Kai to play the game in a way that he looks appropriate.
In a previous interview, Rooney told BBC Sports:
“I think it’s very unfair for everyone to expect him to go. He’s just playing, he’s a 15-year-old boy and he enjoys it. Of course, he pays different attention to a lot of his teammates, but I think he handles it really well.
“He has a great coach at Manchester United, so I’ll stand from the approach. I’ll tell him, but for me it’s about making sure his mentality and his way of thinking is enjoying it all – that’s the main thing for me.”
Kai has been at United Academy since he was 11 years old. He joined the Red Devils youth setup in 2020.
