Reuben Amorim has confirmed that Altai Bay Indeal will start before signing a new Manchester Derby on Sunday. Andre Onana’s loan move to Trabzonspor meant that Amorim was faced with a straight choice signed to Rammen between Bayindir and £18.2 million deadline.

Amorim has confirmed he will stick to Bayindir, who has started all three Premier League matches this season. He also argued that Onana could not cope with the pressure to play for United.

“That’s the same thing I do in different positions, but Altai is going to continue,” Amorim said. “I think he’s ready to play, it’s a different league, another country, another ball, so they’ll fight for position.

“We’re really happy (with Rammen). He’s a goalkeeper with a lot of potential. We’re in the moment when the goalkeeper really needs to have a lot of experience, but we’re focused on the present and the future so we’re both a little prepared.

“Sometimes, you’re as a club that tries to see different options. There are options (rammen) that can do a lot of different things at this moment, but have great potential to become a goalkeeper for many years.

“Andre had a very good season and quality, but sometimes things get more and more difficult at the club and every detail is very difficult at this club so there may be changes.

“I think we and Andre knew this requires change and it would be difficult to point out why.

“Our idea was to make a difference to the goalkeeper, but I hope it’s the best for Andre. He was really good, so he was trying to help the players, and sometimes he can have all the quality of the world, but there’s a need for change.”

Amorim also confirmed Mason Mount and Matthew Cunya, and was injured in United’s 3-2 victory before the international break, coming out of the derby along with Diogo Darott.

“They’re out in this game,” Amorim said. “I don’t know how long it will take, you have to be a very competitive team, but there are some really good players who want to play.

Faced with the city of Pep Guardiola, Amorim said: “They are the top teams that are the best coaches in the world for me.

“They’re constantly changing, but we believe in teams. The tables aren’t the issue at this point. That’s pretty much the same principle as how you fight for all the ball.

“I think we’re a better team (more than last season). In any respect, if we see the details, we’re a better team.”
