Gyokeres fellow new boy Eberechi Eze set the goal for the Swedish striker, but Noni Maduke completed a move from London rival Chelsea in the summer.
Arteta praised his new signature after the match, acknowledging that Gyoker could have scored two or three points.
“I think they were very good, all three,” he said. “With your qualities, but really complement each other well.
“Noni was outstanding once again. He looks like a real threat.
“Victor is very intelligent and could have won two or three. EBS offers something different, a different kind of flow, something very unpredictable.”
The winger started on the right in place of Bukayosaka, who hasn’t played for the Gunners since being kicked out of the pitch last month in a 5-0 victory over Leeds United.

Arteta believes the strength of the depth of the Premier League is key.
“This is what we want,” Arteta said. “When you look at the other teams and the teams they have built, we are all the same.
“You want to compete at a very high level.
“We have already lost Kai (Hubbert) for three or four months. Bukayo needs to be replaced for a few weeks.
“It’s very difficult in the Premier League.”
Zubimendi also impressed his manager after his team produced two excellent finishes to help his team win.
“Incredibly, two extremely difficult goals in terms of execution,” he said.
“He comes to the club and you feel real presence, all the real authority he does on the pitch.
“If he has a goal and adds it, what more can we ask?”
The only downside to Arsenal was that their captain, Martin Odegard, was kicked out in the first half after a clunky landing on his shoulder.
Arteta’s side is looking forward to the first UEFA Champions League match of the 2025/2026 campaign against the Athletic Club on Tuesday.
Their next Premier League clash will face Manchester City on September 21st at the Emirates.
Arteta was particularly pleased with his players due to the fact that many of them had just returned from international obligations.
“It’s very good after the international break,” he added.
“When players leave, it’s always a question mark of how they react and reconnect.
“Another clean sheet is very important to win 3-0.
“Some players are the first time they’ve started, so overall it’s really good.”
