The Italians will compete with James Trafford two years after Burnley, after the latter returns to Etihad this summer.
Trafford has started all three City Premier League matches this season.
“Competition is good for everyone, so I’m happy,” Donnaruma said.
“I can’t wait to see him (Trafford) and I can’t wait to meet my new teammate.
“We must be a strong, united group with people who care about each other, and that is the key to success.
“We can achieve great success together.
“I’m proud to be here and be happy with the choices I’ve made. I hope that I’ll make history here and have as many trophies as possible, that’s my goal.”

Donalma’s move marked a key re-shuffle at the goalkeeper Ping Grunk at the club after City sold Adason to Fenerbafe and marked the end of Brazil’s eight-year spell in the UK, and Marcus Bettinelli arrived from Chelsea after Scott Carson’s departure.
Donnarumma, who has already appeared at 412 clubs after breaking into AC Milan’s first team at age 16, said City “always captivated him.”
“I’ve always been happy to follow that (the city),” Donnaruma said. “Everything around me looks like a training centre or a stadium, they are amazing.
“I don’t know what the club values until I actually see it with my own eyes. The building and staff here are amazing.”
The 26-year-old said, “I’m here with my whole family and during my first day at the club, my first feeling is that it looks like a real family.
“Everyone has a smile and I’m just happy and proud. I can’t wait for this new adventure.”
In Donnalmer’s debut this weekend, it certainly appears that City hosts great rival Manchester United on Sunday, September 14th, he was thrown straight into the deep edge.
