Erling Haaland was Norwegian match winner in a 1-0 win in Finland, but the Manchester City striker needed stitching after the team bus door hit the face before the match
Ehring Haaland hurt himself on Tuesday before Norway’s World Cup qualifiers and Moldova after being hit in the face on a team bus.
Haaland, 25, is a key player on the Norwegian national team and was the match winner in a 1-0 victory in Finland on Thursday as the Manchester City star began an international break in the van. However, he was caught in a strange way when the team coach door left that required stitching outside the Norwegian team hotel in Oslo.
The striker is said to have been waiting for the pavement to collect his luggage when an incident occurred that left him with bloody lips.
According to the Sun, witnesses to the incident outlined that Haaland would turn Air blue and shout “f**k” by Norwegian team doctor Ola Sand.

He later shared a selfie showing off the extent of his injury, revealing the stitch-up that required. “I was hit at the bus door. Three stitches,” he told Snapchat fans along with a snap of his face.
Some fans have had the opportunity to joke about his unfortunate injury. Haaland replied: “Hahahaha only the wrong answer.” Another supporter was blamed by Haaland’s international teammate and Arsenal captain Martin Odegard, who said Haaland was “right.”
Luckily for Manchester City, Haaland’s clash with Norwegian team coach is unlikely to prevent him from featuring in this weekend’s enthusiastic Manchester Derby when Premier League action resumes. But before that, Haaland hopes to come through another unharmed game when he became Ståle Solbakken’s side-face Moldova on Tuesday.
Norway is currently the top of Group I in the World Cup, earning four wins from as many games as ever. Israel, Italy, Estonia and Moldova are the other teams in the group, with Norway facing Moldova on Tuesday.
Haaland has scored three goals in many Premier League matches this quarter in this quarter in Manchester City. He is trying to maintain that record when Manchester United travels to Etihad on Sunday with this week’s Marquee Fixture.
