Intermiami mistrekker Luis Suarez was handed the ban after vomiting to opposition staff in the League Cup final.
Luis Suarez is being slapped at six-match halt after vomiting to opposition staff. The Intermiami Ace targeted the Seattle Sounders security Jean Ramirez director in a post-match brawl following his final defeat in the Side League Cup.
Suarez initially grabbed Mexican midfielder Obedo Vargas around his neck and incited the incident when his teammate Sergio Baskett hit the star of the chin sounders. Busquets and another member of Miami Squad, Tomas Aviles, are suspended in two and three games, respectively.
Seattle coach Stephen Renhardt was suspended in five games after the tournament committee punished him. Suarez and other guilty parties were still able to see more punishments due to their ban, limited to the League Cup.
Leagues Cup, an annual tournament involving MLS and Mexican Liga MX teams, has issued a statement via the committee. “According to League Cup regulations, all four individuals approved will receive a fine as a result of their actions,” he said.
“All suspensions must be available in the next edition or League Cup edition until fully complete.”

Suarez has already announced an apology for his role in the conflict.
“First of all, I want to congratulate the Seattle Sounders on their League Cup victory,” Suarez wrote on Instagram. “But even more importantly, I want to apologise for my actions at the end of the game. It was a moment filled with tension and frustration that should have happened at the end of the game, but it doesn’t justify my reaction. I made a mistake.
“That’s not the image I want to portray in front of my family suffering from my errors, and (Intermiami) doesn’t deserve to be affected by this either.
“We know there are still many seasons. We’ll work together to achieve the goals this club and its fans deserve.”
Intermiami also issued their own statement following the incident. “Intermiami condemns the altercation that took place after the League Cup finals,” the club wrote.
“These actions do not reflect the values of our sport. We are continuing to commit to maintaining the highest standards of sportsmanship on and off the pitch. We work closely with League Cup and MLS officials to ensure that the situation is handled properly. We appreciate the continued support of our fans and our community.”
