Gabriel Martinelli fired several quarters for his display for Arsenal, but he claims he is not worried about growing competition at the Emirates location
Gabriel Martinelli claims he enjoys the competition for Arsenal’s location despite questions rising about his future at the club.
Martinelli, 24, was under scrutiny by the Emirates after the summer arrival of Madueke and Ebebeki Eze, revealing that if the offer in the £60 million region was fascinated, the gunner was willing to offload him to a new club in the transfer window.
However, potential suitors valued Martinelli at around £40 million despite Brazilian International holding back the usual spot on the left side of Mikel Arteta’s attack.
Martinelli scored just 10 goals in all competitions last season, but has made 51 appearances – the most in the Gunners campaign – and at the start of the current campaign, he was exhibited by former Arsenal star Theo Walcott in a 1-0 defeat at Liverpool before an international break.

But Martinelli is far from worrying about his place on the Gunners team, comparing Arsenal’s situation to what he is facing with Brazil.
“When it comes to Arsenal, this is like a national team,” he said during his international duties. “If I ask the national team if it’s good to have Vinni or Rodrigo, I would definitely say yes.
“He helps the team win the title, and if we want to win, we need quality players.
“It’s the same as Arsenal. I’m very pleased with Eze and Madueke’s arrival. Torosad will also play on the left.
“So we’re so happy when we have quality players on our side. We have a lot of games in the season, and a lot of things can happen.
“So I’m happy to be able to win because the club is looking for the best players in the league.”
Walcott was revealed in criticism of Martinelli after his defeat at Anfield, saying the Brazilians did not test Liverpool’s makeshift right-back Dominique Zoboschlei.
Speaking about being called a soccer podcast, Walcott said: “Szoboszlai hasn’t been tested at all. I have a centre midfield player in the fullback. It’s music to my ears, but at some point it wasn’t.
