Wales made eight changes to Starting XI due to Swansea’s friendship with Canada, but ultimately lost just two times in Craig Bellamy’s tenure in 12 matches
Craig Bellamy criticised Jesse Marsh for celebrating his victory before Swansey-Friendly’s final whisper and hopes for a rematch at next year’s World Cup.
Derek Cornelius’ furious 25-yard free kick secured a four-minute Canadian victory from halftime, denounced Bellamy for just his second loss in his 12-game reign and his second loss at home. However, boss Bellamy was unhappy with the way former Leeds boss Marsh acted in the suspension period.
“I still wanted to win, I wanted to trust me,” Bellamy said after selecting the side that marks eight changes from Thursday’s 1-0 World Cup qualifying victory in Kazakhstan. “To be honest, I am not actually happy because I really hate losing more than I like winning.
“I see him (Marche) celebrating at the end. “I hope to see you at the World Cup. I’ll see you again. But I have to be elegant too. Jesse was waving the coach’s hand before the final whi. I have to get used to it.”

Bellamy handed his debut to three players, Cardiff teenager Ronan Cupachio, who began at right back. Midfielders Joel Colwill and Kai Andrews came out of the bench to win their first cap.
“I don’t make excuses,” he said. “I’m not talking about the process. I’m here. And now I want to win. But we debuted, it was the first start of the Charlie Crew, and we had one or two fringe players.
“I had to see the team and what they picked up with us. Can they play our way? I was very impressed with it. But getting the ball, seeing the pressure, that speed of coming up with the ball, some of our boys have never been exposed to it.”
Wales held another friendly action towards England on October 9th next month on Wembley, with a massive World Cup qualifier at home in Belgium four days later. Bellamyside must win that clash for its Cardiff to have hopes of leading the World Cup group and avoiding the playoffs in March.
He states: “You have to play the top team for speed, transition, all these moments, physicality. You have to move the ball faster. You have to make your decision faster.
Marche, who tracked his 3-0 victory in Romania with another victory, said:
“Our team wasn’t frustrated. We were bent, but didn’t break. Getting two clean sheets was generally a good defensive performance.”
