Arsenal star striker Victor Gyoker agrees to give evidence as a witness in the upcoming defamous trial involving agent Hasan Setinkaya in Sweden next year
Viktor Gyoker could miss out on Arsenal’s game time next year after being called to testify in a Swedish legal case.
Gyokeres joined Sports Lisbon’s Arsenal in a deal worth £63.7 million over the summer transfer period, scoring two goals in his first three Premier League matches. But his availability in 2026 is now questionable after he was dragged into a Stockholm trial.
The 27-year-old striker is represented by Hasan Cetinkaya, who filed a lawsuit over a significant decency loss against two Swedish publications. The case relates to allegations issued by Fotboll Sthlm and Expressen, which states that Cetinkaya and his agency, HCM Sports Management, had a relationship with a crime gang.
Cetinkaya denied the allegations and previously reported the outlet to the Swedish Media Ombudsman for “violation of excellent journalistic practices.” He is now escalating the matter to Stockholm District Court.
Gyokeres has not been charged with a crime and will instead give evidence as a witness. Documents submitted by Cetinkaya’s lawyer Joakim Lundqvist show that Sweden International has agreed to testify about the stands when necessary.

Lundqvist told SVT Sport:
The lawsuit comes after a shooting in the suburbs of Hadding, a suburb of Stockholm, in August. The shot was fired at the relative’s house of one representative of Gyoker.
The Stockholm Police continue to investigate incidents in which no one was injured, but warns of possible violence in the industry given the amount involved.

The striker officially joined Arsenal on July 26th, making the long transfer saga even more bitter. There was a war of words between the camp of Gyokeres and sports president Federico Varandas.
Sports was fined for refusing to train, but ultimately a transaction was agreed between all parties. The former Coventry and Brighton striker have started all three Arsenal Premier League matches this season, scoring twice with Leeds 5-0 thrashing.
He is currently in charge of international duties with Sweden and began a 2-2 draw with Slovenia in Ljubljana on Friday night. Sweden will have Pristina’s World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo on Monday night.
