Christian Eriksen has no club since leaving Manchester United and has been criticized by former Denmark international Thomas Gravesen for his approach to free agency
Former Manchester United ace Christian Eriksen has been accused of spending time as a free agent for Malmo. Former Danish International and Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen targeted Eriksen and questioned his ambitions.
The 33-year-old left Old Trafford at the end of the season after his contract expired. And Eriksen, who has yet to find a club, maintains fitness through training with Swedish Side Marmo.
The Ex-Spurs star has yet to find a new team despite being able to interact with future clubs since the start of the year. Eriksen was not selected for Denmark’s World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Greece after scoring in a friendly match in June against Northern Ireland and Lithuania. The playmakers are said to have turned down the possibility of joining Wrexham, but reports suggest that Burnley is also interested in adding Eriksen amidst competition across Europe. The transfer window is closed, but as a free agent, Eriksen can still find a new club.

And Gravesen is eager to see Eriksen’s preparations currently underway. Eriksen trains at Malmo, but there is probably little chance of a deal with a club that requires the club to submit Europa League teams.
“I don’t understand that he chose Marmo,” Gravesen said in a recent interview with Fotboll Skanalen. “It’s not a club he can go to because he can’t sign them and there are a few clubs in Denmark that are far better than Marmo.
“This looks like a friendly thing. I’ve had Christian Eriksen and I’m having fun with my friends. What’s your ambition to play football?
“We’ll talk about him not having a club for three months, but he’s not had a club since January because he’s been able to sign a contract with a new club. He’s been limping on it for a long time.
“If he wants to play for the national team, what signal does this send? What signal do you enjoy going up with Malmo’s friends?
“I don’t understand that. It looks frivolous in some respects. If he had ambition, he would have gone to a higher level club. For me, it’s not enough ambition to go to Marmo and enjoy.
