Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is planning to lend the club out, and he will push the pecking order with United’s transfer deadline move for Senne Runmen
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will be joining Trabzonspor on loan. Premier League clubs are not allowed to sign new players until the new year, but the Turkish transfer window is just one of a handful to remain open a little longer this month.
Onana moved from Inter Milan to Old Trafford in 2023, spending her last two seasons as her first choice. However, he was ruled out by Reuben Amorim at the start of the campaign.
United added Senne Ranmen to their ranks on Monday, paying just £18 million to the younger Belgian. This move appears to have accelerated Onana’s departure, but this move is a simple loan that does not include a purchase option.
According to Athletic, United’s wages at Cameroon International will be covered by the Turkish club. He is also entitled to a bonus that allows him to double his current income.
Onana is scheduled to complete his move after facing Cape Verde in Cameroon. The victory saw the indomitable Lions move to the top of the World Cup qualifying group, and all group winners advanced to the tournament next summer, with four best runner-ups getting a second chance in the playoffs.

Former Chelsea and Scottish star Craig Burley has questioned Onana’s progress since his arrival at Old Trafford. “(He’s) another player who went to Manchester United and got worse. He spent a lot of money, but he couldn’t marshall the back four,” Burley told ESPN.
“I thought Onana was real, and it looked like that in Italy. I thought he might have a Peter Schmechel-esque aura about the boss about him and the player, but that’s not happening.
The 23-year-old Lammens outlined how he wants to gain defender support in front of him. “If you want to be a good goalkeeper, I think you have to be the rock behind your defense,” he told club media.
“They have to trust you and rely on you in difficult moments. That’s something I’m proud of. Of course, the next level is bigger so this can improve, but that’s one of my attributes I’m proud of and I’ll try to improve.
“My parents are really calm, too (I developed this mentality too), but when I was in a youth I thought about the goalkeeper I want to be in the second half of my life. One of the best attributes I can have as a goalkeeper is to settle under pressure in any situation, whether you make a mistake or not.
