Nicholas Jackson has left Chelsea and joined Bayern Munich on a loan deal during the transfer deadline season, but a permanent move to Germany may not be as easy as the first thought

Nicholas Jackson will rejoin Chelsea at the end of the season as Bayern Munich is not planning on signing him forever. It revealed details of Jackson’s seasonal loan agreement from Chelsea, according to Bavarian President Empire Uli Hoenes.

Jackson’s move to Bayern only passed on the day of the transfer deadline following intervention from the striker and his agents. Chelsea initially had cold feet and demanded Senegal International return to London after Liam Dellup’s hamstring injury.

However, Chelsea instead remembered Sunderland’s Mark Giu, allowing Jackson to join the German giant on loan. Jackson looks back at the chaotic move, suggesting that he hopes to stay with Bayern forever in two years at Stamford Bridge.

But talking about the Doppelpass show on German channel Sport1, Hoeneß gave a different perspective. “It’s not a 16.5 million euro loan fee, as the player and his agent are paying 3.5 million euros.

And when asked if a permanent deal could be awaiting Jackson, he was clear. “It only happens if he plays 40 games from the start.

Jackson began 28 Chelsea Premier League games last season, making a total of 37 appearances in all competitions. He probably starts his time with Bayern on the bench.

The 24-year-old is far from Bayern’s first choice in the summer transfer window, and Wheness has openly spoken about his frustration with what he considers as an inflated fee in modern games. “The fact is that we are very pleased with FC Bayern. We are the real winners of the summer transfer window,” he insisted.

“We had a strong team and we didn’t need to bolster that. Of course we wanted to have Florian Wiltz. We offered Nick Ultemade 55 million euros, but Stuttgart wanted 75 million euros. It’s kind of Monopoly these days.”

Bayern also explored his contract with Jackson’s Chelsea teammate Christopher nkunku, as well as Woltemade, who finally arrived at Newcastle for £69 million. They were still able to return to the market during the January transfer period. “We must not forget that there is still a transfer window in January,” Hoeneß said. “I have enough money to do that.”

Speaking about the move, Jackson said: “Soccer is full of cycles. Sometimes things aren’t necessary, that’s part of the game. I learned a lot from him. He has his own ideas and style. I needed something different at this stage of my career.

He added: “I’m 100% focused on my new project and can’t wait to experience the incredible vibe at Allianz Arena.”
