Liverpool defender Ibrahima konate has been strongly linked to his transition to Real Madrid, opening up less than a year into his contract in discussions with French teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Liverpool defender Ibrahima Conate jokes that Killian Mbappe is calling him “every two hours” as a link to Real Madrid’s ramp-up. The Frenchman has finished his contract with Liverpool at the end of the season.
As it stands, there are no signs of a new transaction, and if it is allowed to expire, Conate will be available for free within less than a year. And now Conate teases him that he is talking with Madrid star Mbappe every day.
He jokingly asked on Telefoot whether Mbappe was trying to persuade him to move to Spain. Meanwhile, Coante was asked if he could speak Spanish and replied “No.”
Interestingly, Mbappe has already named Liverpool during its current international break. Asked to give him a verdict in the Premier League this season, he was not under the illusion that the Reds and Conate will be challengers for the title.
“Of course, Liverpool must mention first and foremost, because they are determined to win titles one after the other,” he said in an interview with Bild.

“But I have high hopes for Arsenal too, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time, and that’s a key factor in football. And Manchester City is always on the forefront anyway, with Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland.”
Asked for his predictions about the final champion, he replied: “It’s tough. Maybe Arsenal, maybe it’s their year. It’s certainly easy to say the city or Liverpool.”
