Former Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Stabury is expected to confirm that there are no plans to launch a formal bid for Tottenham Hotspur. The vehicle managed by Stavely is scheduled to issue a statement about the Premier League club on Monday.

The Spurs parted ways with long-term chairman Daniel Levy this week. Levi is expected to move at the helm of almost 25 years, with CEO Vinai Venkatesham expected to play a prominent role.

According to Sky News, Stavely-managed PCP International Finance will confirm that it does not plan a bid for the London Club on Monday. The same publication reports that Stavely had conversations in recent weeks with potential supporters of the takeover move.

Stavely, 52, joined the Newcastle board of directors in 2021, when the club’s current owner was in charge. However, she and her husband, Mehrdad Ghodousi, left the club in 2024.

Stavely and Ghodoussi had a 10% share when the acquisition was completed. This had fallen slightly before the pair left. They took over shares of Stavely and Ghodoussi when Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and RB Sports & Media left.

In September 2024, Miller Football exclusively reported that Stavely and Ghodoussi were considering making a significant investment in Spurs. The pair had been in a Premier League match against Brentford as guests of the North London Club a few days ago.

“My preference was to stay in Newcastle, but life doesn’t always work exactly how you want it,” Stavely told Athletic in July 2024.

“I fell in love with Newcastle, the clubs and people, and that remains the case, but I didn’t want to be the way Newcastle works.

“Mehrdad and I want to be practical. We are hardworking people. I’m very busy, engaged and I love football. Very sadly, we have to move on to other projects.

Levy’s shareholding remains at just under 30%, despite leaving his role as chairman. “I am extremely proud of the work I have done with management and all of my employees,” the 63-year-old said as he left.

“We built this club into a global heavyweight competition at the highest level. And more than that, we built a community. I’ve been fortunate to work with the greatest people in the sport, from the team at the Lilly White House to all the players and managers over the years.”
