Antony finally finished Manchester United’s nightmare on the deadline by completing a permanent move to the real Betis on the Spanish side, but he may have gone elsewhere
Manchester United’s Flop Antony claims he had spoken with Bayern Munich before returning to the real Betis. The Brazilian finally completed a permanent journey from Old Trafford on the deadline.
Betis ultimately paid £21 million to sign him after months of withdrawal negotiations. And although he eventually got a wish for a return to Betis, it appears Antony may have gone elsewhere.
He suggests that Bayern Munich is interested in bringing him to the Arena in Allianz, but he was only interested in moving to Spain. Speaking to El Partidazo, Antony said: “I spoke to Bayern Munich.
“I don’t know if it’s (a) 7 million euros (offer), but I have heard Betis’s words and said I’m 95% certain and I respect my words. I’m so happy here, so I’m comfortable making this decision.
Antony hopes to see even more success with Betis in his second spell at the club. The 25-year-old scored nine goals and notched five assists in just half a season at Andalusia.

His announcement as a permanent Betty Spear player made Antony tears up and broke. He said: “It was very difficult (to make the transfer happen) but we’re here now. I can’t wait to wear Betis’ shirt again.
He added: “Seville is even more beautiful than Manchester. I’m finally here. I spent over 40 days in the hotel. It was very difficult, but everyone wanted to go back to Betis.
“After seeing so much love from Betis fans, I had a hard time sleeping. There was someone waiting at my house at 2am.”

“It’s very important to me to be cared for. Money is something I can’t buy. Here I felt good and I felt a lot of love. It was always my first choice. So I waited until the last day to return to Betis. Now I’m here and happy with the club I love.”
Although Bayern failed attempts to sign Antony, they still had eye-catching windows. The German giant completed the move of Liverpool’s Wideman Lewis Diaz earlier this summer.
They also signed Nicholas Jackson on loan from Chelsea despite the slow drama for his future. The striker flew to Germany and completed his move only to remember Chelsea after Liam Dellup’s injury. However, the deal was finally agreed.
