Scunthorpe’s second National League fixture was abandoned the same week after a seriously injured player was stretched and rushed to the hospital. The Iron Saturday crash was stopped deep in the second half, following the injury to Daniel Nukulma.
The 21-year-old Wealdstone striker fell to the floor in 85 minutes following a crash inside the home side penalty box. The referee initially added 11 minutes of stop time as the match reached 90 minutes, but after another 13 minutes, the players were still being treated for the grass. He was eventually drawn to applause from supporters of both clubs.
Authorities then opposed the resumption of matches.
In a series of messages from X, Wealdstone announced:
“We can confirm that after a long pause, today’s equipment between Wealdstone and Scunthorpe United has been abandoned while Daniel Nukulma is undergoing treatment.
“Daniel Nkulma is currently in the hospital and is stable. We would like to thank Scunthorpe United’s medical staff and paramedics for their support.”

Scunthorpe, who was ahead 2-1 when the lawsuit halted, also confirmed with X that the match was abandoned.
They said:
Enzio Boldewijn initially led visitors, but Alfie Beestin and Danny Whitehall turned the table to give Scunthorpe the advantage.
This follows a dramatic incident with Scunthorpe’s away match. Eastlee was cancelled during Tuesday’s suspension hours due to a serious clash between the two players.
The match was on the level 1-1 when a horrifying head-on collision occurred in the extra time between Archie Harris of Eastlee and Jean Bellehoan of Scunthorpe, and the pitch required immediate medical consultation.
The referee sent both teams back into the changing rooms while medical staff were present with the injured players. Scunthorpe confirmed that Belehouan was conscious and moved off the pitch in a wheelchair.
The club later issued an update. “Jean Bellehoan returns to the dressing room after treatment and continues his assessment and monitoring. At this stage, JB appears to be responding well to the test.
Eastlee then confirmed that Harris is repairing, saying, “The Eastlee Football Club can see that Archie Harris is admitted to the hospital and is consciously speaking. We will soon be offering further updates to our supporters.
